![]() ![]() Depending on the obstacle, Chai will have to either move, attack or move to the next rail.Ĭhai, a 25-year old man with a disabled right arm and a dream to become a rockstar, arrives at the Vandelay Technologies campus to volunteer for Project Armstrong, a test program for cybernetic limb replacement. Some parts of the stage include Chai riding on rails. Not every Assist is available initially however, with some parts of the stage requiring a replay to access them. They can also be summoned in battle too, being able to break through certain barriers or aid him with combos. This interaction is required to either remove an obstacle is Chai's path or access areas normally blocked off or unreachable without their help. Chai is capable of having two supers at a time, being able to swap them out at either before the stage begins or at certain points in the stage.Ĭhai is also capable of summoning Assists to interact with the surrounding environment throughout the stages. Supers can vary between damaging blows to healing himself, but generally the gauge can be saved up until the stage ends. Chai is capable of performing Special Attacks once the gauge accumulates (every Special Attack has different Gauge requirements), which then can be used in battle. Chai can differentiate using Light and Heavy attacks having different outcomes depending if the player delays the moves or not.Ĭhai can also collect Batteries to utilize his Reverb Gauge, functioning as a super meter of sort. The game isn't locked to the music track however, but timing attacks to the beat grant different bonuses. This is most notable with combat, with attacks and dodges matching the beat of the current track. Everything in the game, from the environment to the enemies to Chai himself is synced up with the music. The game revolves around Chai traversing and between the different departments of Vandelay Technologies, fighting against the respective bosses at the end of the respective level. Now with the corporation designating him as a prime target, Chai must defend himself alongside the help of his allies to take the bosses down. This causes him to be labeled as a "defect", making him a target for deactivation by the company. While participating as one of the volunteers for Project Armstrong, during the procedure, Chai receives a robotic arm, but also unintentionally becomes fused with his music player. I'm not going to lie reddit festers this kind of behavior and other online platforms as well (I'm not going to rant about the karma system) but generally the toxic shippers tend to work overtime compared to other toxic parts of the fandom.Hi-Fi Rush stars Chai as a wannabe rockstar that fights against the forces of Vandelay Technologies alongside his allies. That and I can get that the village idiots in any fandoms the more niche it is, the louder they are shipping can get a little. ![]() I just assumed you were a bleach fan because you know it's showed off on your profile. To me their friendship is the most beautiful part about the cast, together they work as one. Heck I've been declared a "phobe" for not seeing a relationship between Peppermint and Korsica working out so there's that. Thing about Hi-Fi is that on reddit I've seen some obsessive amounts of shippers who insult everyone that disagrees, and for a moment it was frequent. Not a Bleach fan, not even a fan of this stupid game, just a dumb idler I have running which auto grinds while I'm doing something else. To be honest if I was a part of that fandom, I'd hate shipping characters as well. Why do you hate shipping? Toxic shipping sure, the constant down your throat stuff I could understand hating that kind of shipping.Įdit: you're a Bleach fan, I can now understand the hate for shipping as a concept. ![]() Here's a fact, Chai had bigger love interest towards Gift Basket than anyone else.
